I really want to take the time to congratulate those that graded this term. At the end of year its 'always busy with school functions, family commitment etc. We had two new members grade to Black belt in our CHITF program. We had three new members of the Will/Machado team become blue belts. and a number of belts and stripes for all members. As you progress through the rank system. I want you to develop technically at the academy but also apply those concepts off the mats. Building a more peaceful world is a student oath that we say at the beginning of Taekwon-Do but this can be applied for all the programs and in a wider sense about helping others. Jack is a member who has had a hard life and at 16 years of age recently found himself without a home and is living at a refuge. we sponsor him at GMAA . Congratulations to Jack who has become employed and turning his life around in a positive manner. Teaching people technique is one thing but making them productive members of society is another. thank you to all the members that have helped Jack.. it is a truism that environment is stronger than will!
